Airflow Strips
Open the airway before you close your eyes.
Your nose has two jobs at night: filter the air and keep resistance low enough that you don't default to breathing through your mouth. When nasal congestion or anatomical resistance is high, even well-intentioned nasal breathers lose the battle by morning.
Airflow Strips gently lift the sides of the nasal passage using a flexible spring mechanism — opening the nasal valve and reducing airflow resistance immediately. No drugs. No habituation. No side effects.
Best used as part of the Somnos breathing protocol alongside Nasal Protocol Tape — the tape keeps your mouth closed, the strips keep your nasal airway open.
THE SCIENCE
The nasal valve — the narrowest point of the nasal passage — accounts for up to 50% of total airway resistance. External nasal dilator strips increase cross-sectional area at the nasal valve by mechanically lifting the lateral nasal cartilage, reducing resistance and enabling higher nasal airflow volume without increased breathing effort. Higher nasal airflow means more nitric oxide production, better oxygen exchange, and a calmer nervous system throughout the night.
